Last week I completed my first ever 100+ mile training week for running. I had originally planned on peaking at just below 100 for this cycle, but once I got close, I couldn’t resist. I know it’s just a number, but for me it’s a symbol of how much work I’ve put into my training this year. Not only did I have some big mileage, but I also had three quality workouts with lots of MP, HMP and speedy stuff mixed in as well. The funny thing is that this is possibly the best my legs have felt since after coming off Branson 70.3 in the fall. Legs have adapted very well to the higher mileage and the higher intensity work that my coach is giving me. This week I’m enjoying a slight cut-back in order for my legs to adapt and absorb all these miles.
